1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Sebastian Grossmann ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of WordGate ("the App"). By installing or using the App you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and that you accept these Terms.

2. License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use WordGate on any Apple-branded device you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, which is incorporated herein by reference.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the App.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the App's blocking or time-bank mechanisms.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.

3. Description of Service

WordGate is a self-control productivity app that helps you manage screen time by requiring you to answer vocabulary quiz questions in order to earn minutes of access to apps you have chosen to block. Core features include:

• App Blocking – uses Apple's Screen Time API to apply shields to apps you select.
• Time Bank – a balance of minutes earned by answering vocabulary questions correctly.
• Scheduled Blocking – set recurring time windows during which selected apps are automatically blocked.
• Vocabulary Library – a curated word list across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
• Practice Mode – free-form quiz practice without affecting the time bank (WordGate Pro).
• Stats & Streaks – tracks daily word goals, streaks, and learning achievements.
